Mazatlán is a charming destination renowned for its beaches and rich cultural life but there are specific seasons you might want to omit depending on weather or if you like the place less crowded. The least favorite period of the year to go to Mazatlán is the rainy season which comprises 6 months from June to September. Heavy rain and occase storms which come around every now and then spoil all the outdoor activities and of course beach visits. Besides the sacred holidays like Dias de los Muertos (Treatment of the Dead) and Christmas can have many tourists and a higher price, making it not really fit as for a quiet retreat.
